Spotify skiping tracks, then only plays 10s, then mutes itself

My Question or Issue

As title suggests, my chromebox web player AND app on the same machine BOTH skip songs repeatedly, will play 3 ads in a row in their entirety without issue, then play 10 seconds of a song, and then it's muted.

I've tried every "Solved" solution available on the forum here. I've had this issue for over a month now. I've gotten by with pandora, but prefer spotify's podcast selections. I've tried incognito,i've cleared caches, ive given and removed permissions, chrome os and chrome are updated, I've created new profiles, I've turned off all extensions including ad blockers. I'm puling my hjair out over here. this shouldn't be this difficult. The player functions fully on my Windows laptop, and on my phone's app. I've tried controlling the app and web player on mychromebox from my phone and the same thign happens again.
