dbus Metadata: Only one Artist in Artist Array

My Question or Issue

When getting data for the currently playing track using dbus mpris, only one artist is returned in xesam:artist despite there being multiple artists.
I have tested multiple tracks using both python and perl to print the data.

It's doing the same when scrobbling music to last.fm - only the first artist from those listed ends up scrobbled along with song and album data.
For example this:
spotify:track:5t2iOfBwpSkAUqdSkr8tNt:small 

will get scrobbled as Shades - Dark Wing
and Spotify shows me this notification (I'm on Ubuntu):

I'm pretty sure it's simply how Spotify API behaves, and the fault is not in how you try to get the data. In other words, I don't think there'll be an easy fix for this.
