Spotify freezing laptop

Everyone I open spotify it loads for a while and than my whole laptop freezes. I know this is a spotify issue because it works just fine without spotify usage. 

This has been happening for a week now and any help would be appreciated.

Hey there @mrmoi356, thanks for being a part of the Spotify Community! Can you tell us which platform you're on? Mac, Windows etc?
