Rate the Song the Person Above You Posts

Hey guys,

New to the forum; saw this posted on another forum I frequent and thought it was a great idea.

The premise is this:

I will post a song and the person will reply with a rating (1-10) of their subjective opinion of the song with a short write up of how they liked/disliked it. They will then post a song for the user that posts next to review.

Please limit this to songs we can all access on Spotify. You can right-click on the song in Spotify on the computer and click the "Copy Spotify URI"

Thanks!

- Mackey

My song:

@rossi1911 personally nostalgic for me because of the beautiful 'life is strange', the vocals are nothing special, but it's beautifully written 6/10

@crematedman Fell in love with Hatchet as soon as I listened to it. Good vocals and nice melody especially the violin part at 1:40 onwards. 7 / 10

@rossi1991 Great pick! I was defintiely hit with a sense of nostalgia just listening to it. I know people don't usually like long bars at beginnings of songs but in this case it lead  into something I consider nostalgic enertia. I love it! (8/10)

My pick! Yoke Lore's Goodpain

@pramos03 this was a really fun upbeat little indie tune. i'm usually not into a lot of indie pop, but this got my attention. 6/10 made me tap my foot

@pramos03I love Yoke Lore! If you're into him, try giving Elliot Root a listen! Similar vibe 🙂

Oh it's that song! 😄

Nice sweet cheesy song, what else I can say. Can imagine myself using this as a soundtrack to some sweet loveful parts of a movie.

Will give an 8 to this.

Jimi Hendrix this time. Manic Depression. I for one really love this!

@SebastVAIO

Ooooh, been awhile since I listened to Hendrix, but still love him! And those old school drums!

8/10

And for mine:

spotify:user:bradg43

One of my favorite bands, one of my favorite songs!

@bradg43 I'm going to be honest this it's a good track perhaps and 7 it would be a good rating, but for me there's no best song in this album that the last track and its one of my favorites songs ever, the way Dave sing it it's amazing, so powerful, with so much feeling I find my self coming back to this song constantly

I've mixed feelings about this song, I used to like it, but now i'm starting to get annoyed by it, maybe I've listened to it too much.
6/10 I'd say.

@Kimiha

Oh, it's actually a very catchy tune! 8/10 would play again : )

The following was found through Utah Jazz, who used it in his song called "Take No More". It's quite an outstanding song. Blues, if I'm not wrong.

@crematedman Unique instrumental and I love the tribal vibe in it. 7 / 10.

This is a song from 1967 that I listen to and I quite like it.

Wow dude, 1967. It has that rich, tape-saturated warmth to it. If this was re-mastered it could have come out yesterday. 7/10 (because of the 1967 recording quality).

Any Emmit Fenn fans?

@joejohnstun I quite like that retro 8-bit instrumental in that song. So I'll give 7 / 10.
