I'm new to Spotify & I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to increase your following. How do you get people to listen to your playlists when there are so many to choose from?
I'm no expert, but there seems to be two sides of it, which are how it should be and what seems to be happening. What seems to be happening is that people with garbage playlists (terrible music stupid/trendy playlist names) get a lot of followers. Fortunately, there are still some people that like good music and playlists. I recommend starting with good names. If you want to change the names of any of your playlists, you might start a new one, then move all of those songs to the new one. You can add a playlist to another one, so it'll be easy. I hate seeing playlists that have lowercased titles. I'm reluctant to follow them. It really turns me off. Also, the name should fit the theme of the playlist. Think of something clever, like something related from pop culture, or from that particular culture. Also, don't have a lot of songs, by one artist or band, on each playlist. Have some good cover art that fits the theme. Post you playlists on sites, such as reddit, on the Spotify groups, or anywhere else that's related. Also, listen to your playlists, so your followers see them.
HI. I have started a podcast on Spotify. I have had a blog for four years 'Parkies and me - my journey with Parkinson's' and now decided to branch out to podcasts. Any advice on how to increase my following would be great!
Growing your Spotify playlist followers can be a fun and rewarding process. Here are some tips to help you get started:
Find Your Niche: Create playlists that cater to specific genres, moods, or activities. Unique and well-curated playlists attract more followers.
Optimize Your Playlist: Use keywords in your playlist title and description to make it more searchable. Attractive cover art can also grab attention.
Promote on Social Media: Share your playlist on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. Engage with your audience by sharing stories behind the songs or creating themed posts.
Collaborate with Others: Partner with other playlist curators or artists to cross-promote each other's playlists.
Join Playlist Communities: Participate in playlist exchange groups on Reddit or Facebook. Engaging with these communities can help you reach new listeners.
Regular Updates: Keep your playlist fresh by regularly adding new tracks and removing outdated ones. This keeps your followers engaged and coming back for more.
Engage with Your Followers: Respond to comments and feedback from your listeners. Building a community around your playlist can lead to more loyal followers.
Use Ads: If you have a budget, consider running ads on platforms like Facebook or Instagram to reach a wider audience.
Happy playlisting! ๐ถ
I have exactly the same problem
Yes I like to get followers on my Spotify app
Yes
I've tried searching my own public playlists, out of curiousity, and I find they never pop up. The names of my playlists aren't exactly conventional so there is no chance they could get lost or merged with other people's. Personally I don't make playlists for followers.
I presume if you have more people following your account then your playlists will become more visable. I can't say for certain though.
If I look for playlists to explore different genres, I don't often come across many I'd want to save. I usually just have a listen to a few songs and move on.
all you need to do is find music that may be your favorite or that famous Artist singers like Malcolm TODD, whataheart.
it take a while to get followers trust i know this post was 2 years ago but its good advice, like i said more u upload playlist or upload more on your bio then people well probably check out your playlist.
The best way to increase your followers is to not care about the rations in the first place.
Do what YOU do best, and then keep doing it.
Because if you try to cheat the system.. woe on you when the truth comrs out.
