Can't sign up for student account due to difference in credit card country and university location

Hey Community, 

I would like to sign up for a student account on spotify. Unfortunately (or luckily) I study in Norway with a Norwegian student email address. I am still using my german credit card for payments, and it seems that this difference in location of card and university are not allowed. Is there any way to get around this, or am I making a mistake?

Unfortunately, there's no way to get around this.

Your account’s country settings need to match the country of your university, and your payment method needs to have also been issued in this same country. For help with this, check out the guide about country settings.
