If your account payment gets declined what happens to your account?

 

Is the app on your phone and desktop going to be shut off/shut down until it's paid?

When a payment fails, you will normally get an email to notifiy you that the payment failed. Depending on your payment method, you normally get a grace period for a few days on which your account will remain on your Premium/Unlimited and after the few days the system will automatically retry the payment. If the payment fails again, your account will revert to Spotify free, but no need to panic all of your playlists will still be saved on your account and you are free to listen to them on Spotify free. 

 

If your account drops to free and you want to upgrade again, just follow the prompts from your online account and you will be back up and running again in no time!
