My email is already in use even after I delete the account

I made an account a few years ago using my main email, I then switched to another account using my second email. I have since deleted that account using the main email but when I try to change my email on the newer account to be my main email, it says its still in use, even though its deleted.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

After closing the account, it will take 14-30 days for the email address to become available for use again.
