New user cannot log in

New user cannot log in

Someone please help, this is infuriating  (I can't believe Spotify has zero customer support, I literally cannot solve this without a human).

 

I recently purchased a year-long premium subscription for my dad, who has never signed up for Spotify. When he clicks the "Open My Gift" link in the email he was sent, it diverts him to the Spotify login page. 

 

(1) When he tries to create a new account, it says his email address is already associated with one.

(2) When he tries "forgot password," it says his account is associated with Facebook.

(3) When he tries to log in with Facebook, it tells him there is no account associated with his Facebook account.

 

I had to log in to my account to even get here because you get nowhere if you are not a member who can log in.

 

PLEASE HELP US
