Want to change to 'Family' but when does the upgrade happen?

I have a Premium account and want to upgrade it to 'Family'. Spotify charged me 9,99 € for the time till Dec 22th. So if I upgrade today, do I have to pay double or does Family start only after Dec 22th or do I get a refund for my single Premium...???

Spotify will convert any remaining Premium time on your account to the correct number of days on your new family plan and will bill you once those converted days are used up (so you don't loose any money in the upgrade). This also has the advantage your family plan begins immediately rather than having to wait.
