Clicking a track does not load the track into the play bar

This is not an audio issue. I can use Spotify Web Player connected to my Spotify Desktop and it plays just fine. The problem is that when I click the play button on a track, it does not load it into the "play bar" (or whatever that bottom part of the interface is). See attachment 1. After a short time, it empties the play bar entirely, see attachment 2. Oddly, playing from a playlist works just fine, as does hitting the play button on the album art from the artist page. Playing a specific track from an album does not. (Not even when said track is already playing; it still messily clears the play bar.) I have tried signing out from other accounts, reinstalling Spotify, rebooting my computer, and none of those have worked to fix the problem.

The issue appears to have resolved itself. I'm not sure what fixed it.
