Hey there @Tori20,
Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.
Just to confirm, are you referring to the full screen album art on your lock screen? If yes, we'd like to add some insights. The full screen cover art that is shown on the lock screen has always been dependent on how the Android ROM on the particular phone was configured to interact with media playback. This can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, from one android version to another and from one phone model to the other. In that sense, there's not a specific way to disable it.
Some Android users have noticed that going to the Android settings of their device > Lock screen and security > Notifications on lock screen, and there scrolling down to Spotify and twitching it off have proved to work. Nonetheless, it's important to mention that it will disable all Spotify notifications, and you'll no longer see the player controller. For some users, it also disables the full screen album cover. Remember, this may vary depending on the device you have. We'd suggest you double-check this flow on your own cellphone.
We understand this is not ideal, and we appreciate the time you took to let us know about this. We'd recommend you post a suggestion on our Ideas board, which is a place where Spotify users can share their feedback in the form of ideas, to improve the Spotify experience for everyone. To post there, make sure you follow our Idea Exchange Guidelines, so other users can find your idea easily and show their support.
Hope this clears things up. If you have any questions or need a hand with anything else, we're always a post away.
