Spotify reverts to previous song after putting on a new song when opening.

Whenever I open Spotify after it’s been closed out and scroll through to pick out a new song to listen to it will start playing and then revert back to where it left off on the previous song from when I closed out of the app. It is really frustrating because I like to choose a song and put it on before driving, I’ll start driving and then it will just randomly revert back to exactly where the previous song was at when I had exited Spotify, but I don’t want to pull over and scroll through my phone again, or stop my run, workout, etc.

Does this also happen when listening on other devices or do you experience this only on mobile? When did you notice this started? 

We'd suggest removing your cached files, as something in the background data might be what's causing this. Heads up though, when clearing cache you'll have to download your saved music again as the cleanse will remove them from your app.
