Hey @loribritton,
Did you input any payment details? Without any payment details, no charges can be made. Once the trial ends, you account will revert back to Free as it was before. If you're an iPhone user, you do need to check your iTunes subscriptions for Auto Renewals and turn it off for Spotify.

I accidentally clicked on the trial button and I DO NOT want this. I'm pretty ticked that their directions are a lie and I cannot cancel my subscription anywhere. I guess I'll have to go to other measures if no one can tell me how to contact them or cancel.

Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.
After that, check the status of your subscription. If everything looks ok, logout of the app in your device, and be sure to use that username, instead of your email address, to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.
