Cant logg inn

OK so yesterday i was trying to logg into my account to listen to my playlists, then i discovered that i couldnt logg inn... i tried many different ways and so on. and appereantly my email that i use on my spotify didnt exsist. I know that it was that email i used, bcs its my main email. today i tried to logg into my facebook, and luckely it was connected to my spotify, but when i logged on it, all of my playlists were deleted. i got help from a friend to help restore it dou, so i got my playlists back. but what couldve caused this to happen? im not behind on payment for the spotify or anything.
