Charge Premium but Sign up for the Student Discount

I got spotify because i heard it had an discount student (that was great). I click the student discount page and followed all the instructions. However when i looked at my bill i was charged regular Premuim price. What happen?  I'm close to cancelling my account if this charge continues.
