Everytime i login to Spotify (once every few months), i can never play any music as it always says i have 0 minutes left, but I never use it! Something is wrong with my account.
What happens if you try playing a track? Does the web player work for you?
I have the same problem i use it like 2 hours per month at the most.
It occurs on the linux preview, if i play a song on the webplayer then it works fine.
But i don't belive that being a linux client is the cause of the problem.
When i try to play a track it says i have run out of minutes, but the web player works fine and lets me play any tracks I want.
I keep seeing this. All I can suggest is to restart the desktop client and it should catch up eventually. You could do a clean reinstall but that seems a bit extreme for something like this 😞
Thanks so much for your help, I will try restarting, if not then perhaps a fresh install will work. Thanks again!
I'd like to bump this issue up: it is really annoying.
Please, let us know anything, or at least add something to check the time left. I'm pretty sure that I'm not using all the free time, but if I am, I'd like to know it before reaching the 0 min threshold.
The web player doesn't have that same problem, so that could be seen as a solution, I guess... Still, I want to use my media keys on my Mac, so this isn't enough.

And yes, I've tried removing completely Spotify (with all the cache and the other hidden files), but it didn't work.
+1 for bump, I haven't been on my acccount in well over a month, have since moved to Linux and installed the preview. Looks great btw. It will let me play one track upon starting the client and then it says 0 minutes and won't allow anymore, I'm thinking a bug in the Linux preview. My facebook activity log also confirms that I haven't accessed 10 hours of music within even the last 2 months prob more.
UPDATE!! Ok so I logged into the web player usng facebook while still logged in and running on linux, played a few tracks on the web player. Then logged out. Closed and reopened SPotify Linux (at first it gave me a message about track not being available in my country) dismissed that and tried to play a few songs, 0 minutes problem is gone 🙂 Dunno if this was a fluke or some syncing thing, anyway if you are still having problems try that
