Family account : an email is not working

Family account : an email is not working

Hi all,

I subscribed a family account, but one of the emails is not working at all (no confirmation email received - check spams, from a laptop and a phone makes no difference) the 3 other account are working perfectly. Could it come from a blocked account?

Good to hear the other three are working, letś get this one working too. First of the most obvious advice: Can you check if the emailadress is spelled correctly? 

 

What exactly do you mean by your last question ("Could it come from a blocked account?")? Do you mean to ask whetehr the confirmation email might be coming from a blocked email account? I don think so, but just in case, here is how you check it:

  1. Open the confirmation email on any of the other accounts so you can see the email adress.
  2. Write down this adress.
  3. Go to the account that didn't get the email (yet) and go to the list of blocked adresses. (It varies where you can find this list, if you tell me your provider I can be a bi more specific.)
  4. Check whether the Spotify emailadress is blocked.
  5. If so, unblock it and send the email again!

Thanks for the quick reply.

I checked if the email address was blocked on our provider (Gmail): no sign
of blockage. We also use to send each other email without issue.

I also deleted previous account that were linked to this email (2 weeks
ago) created a new one, but without improvement.

Okay, at least we've ruled that out then.

 

Is the person youŕe trying to add curently a Free user? (Or did they get their Premium directly from Spotify? (And not, for example, through iTunes or a mobile operator)) If not then that is stopping them from joining your family account.

I did contact the Spotify team, even making a new account did not work,
they had to send me a special link to this email address.
Now it is awesome : it works great!
