I signed up using my E-Mail, but my username is a bunch of random characters?

I googled this issue up, and there is no particular solution.

Why is this issue even occuring? I do not even use Facebook, to put it out there. I have no connection with Facebook whatsoever.

How do I resolve this? I want to have a Username of my own name.
