Import playlist from Wimp to Spotify?

Import playlist from Wimp to Spotify?

Hey guys, hope I`m posting in the right section.

I`ve been using Wimp the last year - but now I`m kind og turning back to using spotify.

Does Spotify have a "import playlist from Wimp" function. If not, is there any other way of importing playlist in a easy manner, or do I have to spend a weekend punching it all in again?

That's right 🙂

I've deployed a new version that works with the newest spotify. Sorry it took so long.

Great Job, Lassemi! Many thanks for making this tool available, extemely useful indeed.

I've found an issue, however. The app blows up when I try to import the following playlist: https://wimp.pl/resources/rss/web3/wimp_playlist.ftl?playlist=db458b00-3ccf-40a8-8926-a90e3cae33f2

Also a small suggestion - it would be quite convenient if you could alternatively just copy and paste the URL rather than save the playlist to a file and then upload it.

Cheers!

Hi,

Seems to be problems with other playlists also.

This one also causes the application to crash:

https://wimp.no/resources/rss/web3/wimp_playlist.ftl?playlist=a4312001-5fb5-4285-8d95-80113b448ea1

Have used this great application some time ago - then it worked perfect 🙂

Thanks for the kind words 🙂 I'll try your and standf's playlists when I get the time and find out why it crashes.
I agree that it would be more convenient to just copy and paste the url for the wimp playlist, and it is something I considered, but chose to maybe add later. Maybe some day i'll add this feature.

Hello Lasse!

Your converter is perferkt!
I am sick of WiMP and TIDAL, the app simply don't work.

Tested your converter today, unfortunately it seems that I crashed your service when i imported the same RSS file to your site twice..

Could you be so kind and restart the service?

Thanks

Best Regards
Horgster

Unfortunately I get an error trying this:

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Any solution to this? Been looking for a converter like this for a while. Thanks in advance

 After getting the same crashes as you, I found.

http://soundiiz.com/

As you probably know Wimp is now Tidal. I could connect to my Wimp account in that box, and my spotify account. Then, it actually worked to drag and drop the playlists across.

The only issue is that you grant soundiiz irrevocable access to your spotify account. I realized too late, but if that bothers you I guess that solution isn't for you.

Read about why you can't revoke access here:
