Paypal and funding sources

I've been a premium subscriber for a while now and pay via paypal taking the funds directly from my bank account. However I've recently added a credit card (and confirmed it) on my paypal - some of my other recurring payments give me choices of which funding to use, but Spotify just says "paypal balance, and if that's not enough, a backup funding source" - will the next option STILL be my bank account? As I really don't want it to take payment from my credit card and there seems no way to stipulate.

I may be wrong, but that sounds like a question for PayPal support.  Only they can decide which account takes priority if your PayPal account balance is insufficient to cover the charge.  Merchants can not pick and choose which payment source it comes from, that process is abstracted by PayPal.  So they should be able to answer that question for you, and possibly even change it if it is not set up the way you want it to be.
