Spotify does not recognize my username on certain pages and when I log in

On my phone, I can clearly see that I am logged in under my chosen username - ChavaRey - and just now I tried logging in on my laptop, I kept getting the error message that my username/password was incorrect.  I went through doing a password reset only to find in the email sent by Spotify that the account is still listed under the randomized letter and number code given at set-up.  When I look at any public page on my Spotify, it shows up as my chosen username, but when I login and look at my account page, it is this randomized code.  What the heck?! Can you fix this so I can actually login with my username?
