Switching to student account after trial

Solved!

Switching to student account after trial

Hi, I've just signed up for the 99p a month three month trial. After that, I'd want to move on to the student premium (NUS Extra) and not the normal one. Do I have to cancel the full price one or is there a way to automatically switch on to the student version after the three months?

Hi @YorkshireSar. You should be able to transition straight into the student discount once your introductory offer is up. At some point before your three months are up, hop over and visit the Student Discount page and enroll for your subscription through there.

You'll likely see a pending charge, but if I recall correctly, you will not get charged the discounted price until after your three months are up. If you do get charged, don't worry, it'll just get added on to the three months you already have, and you won't see another charge until that new month is up.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns I might be able to help with. Cheers!

As a fellow stingy student I completely understand. Once the three months have been put on your account, any subscription you enroll in will take hold after that's up, and just stack on to what you already have. You can always check your subscriptions page and make sure your renewal date is ~3 months out.

I thought it should work like that - but being a stingy student I was worried registering for the student premium might then overwrite my 3 month 99p deal... Thank you so much!
