Track quality

Track quality

I've wanted to check out the track quality @ spotify and i'm a bit confused. "High Quality"was supposed to be equivalent to 320kbps, but it sounds more like 128kbps. I've purchased a file @ beatport and it sounds badass compared to the spotify quality. Even a random download from network sounds much better. As for the listening equipment i'm on a dynaudio dbm50 with djm-t1 as the sound interface. What's the thing ?

High quality is 320kbps and according to Spotify 99% of the catalogue should be available at that bitrate. If it stills sounds like normal quality which is 160kbps, try reinstalling Spotify which should clear out your clients cache:
