Unable to change payment details

I have un-subscribed from Spotify as I wanted to change my payment details over to another card, however Spotify won't let me re-subscribe, and keep telling me that there is no support every time I click the subscribe button. Has anyone else had this problem? And how can I fix it and change my payment details?

Hi leahkins97,

In this case, it's better to cancel your subscription and delete your payment info. You will still be Premium until the remaining days of your subscription are used up.
What I'm suggesting you to do is this:

1. Go to your Subscription page.
2. Click UPDATE DETAILS. If it shows below 'Would you like to cancel your subscription?' click there and cancel.
3. Check the box to 'Remove', and click 'Change' button,

Note: If you have your Premium active you won't be able to remove your payment info. That's why it's important to cancel before clicking UPDATE DETAILS.

After you've removed your payment info, resubscribe to Premium with the new card info to ensure that your offline music won't be deleted and that your subscription will renew correctly when it's time.

thank you for the suggestion! I have cancelled my subscription through iTunes and it is now telling me that I just have to wait till my preium subscrption that I've already paid for has ended, then I can re-new it.

It's March, 2018 and you'd think that a company as huge as Spotify would have fixed this problem. Spotify sent me an email saying, correctly, that I need to update my payment info, but won't actually let me do it no matter what type of device I try to on. The developers need to remove the "update payment information" link as it actually doesn't do anything.

I'm having the same issue. The "update payment" button is entirely broken and does nothing but refresh the subscription page.

I encountered the same problem. I got an email asking me to update my payment information because my renewal is today, and the card that I used is no longer active. So I went on the site to update my payment, but when I clicked on "Update" nothing happened. I had to cancel my premium subscription and then go and sign up for premium again to put in my new card information. REALLY DUMB. I should be able to update my payment at any time without canceling the service.

Exact same thing happening for me. It's infuriating. I have my new card right here and each time I click "update", it essentially reloads the page that's telling me I need to update my details. Cancelling a subscription and then resubscribing doesn't fix the fact that this is clearly a recurring problem with Spotify

Yeah; it's not working for me either. I'm trying to update my payment and neither the link nor the "change payment details" nor the "update" button does anything except reload the page. 😕

Same problem. I'm trying to disconnect from PayPal and add a credit card, but clicking "Update" just refreshes the page. Tried on desktop and mobile. The update button does absolutely nothing.
