Upgraded to premium, can't return to unlimited?!

Upgraded to Premium for the Holidays to be able to play my christmas playlists on my ipad, and now I'm unable to return to my unlimited subscription. 

All I can say is that, well, frankly perhaps this is an excuse to switch to beats. What is frustrating for me is that I'd like to support Spotify's stated goals of supporting musicians, but again, Spotify is not my primary music consumption method.

Sorry, but once you upgrade to premium, there is no way to go back to unlimited.

The unlimited subscription has been discontinued for quite some time now.
