a firewall may be blocking Spotify

  • I tried loging in today and i was prompted with a message "a firewall may be blocking spotify, Please update your frewall to allow spotify. additionaly you can try changing the currentely used proxy settings ( error code : 17 )"

I know all my passwords and usernames but i am not able to login

If anyone has a solution plz help

Hey @gnovacandy, thanks for reaching out.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstallation of the app. Just follow the steps here.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

Unfortunatel it is still not working, 

I have the latest version of spotify and have reinstalled it twice, 

I have noticed that this problem is recurent on all my platforms Mac book pro, Smamsung A5, and Ipad, all have the newest operating system available.  

however, i was able to make a free acount and connect to it with all my platforms. it seems my account has been blocked, this is unfortunated also due to my premium membership.
