Alpine Connect App and Spotify

Hi all,

I recently bought an Alpine headunit for my car. The headunit was advertised with Spotify-Support via Android Auto and Apple Car Play. With Android Auto Spotify works well. Same with streaming over bluetooh.

But it was as well advertised that with the Alpine Connect app you can brows through your playlist etc. via bluetooth. Unfortunately the Alpine Connect app doesn't list Spotify as an compatible app any more, although Alpine says so. I asked the Alpine support about that issue and they said, that Spotify ended this feature and that Alpine cannot do anything on that.

So my question is, is the missing support of this feature really depending on the Spotify app or is Alpine responsible for this. If its an issue of the Spotify app, in which version did this feature work, so I can try that with an older version of Spotify.
