Android randomly shuffles or repeats after unpausing

Just noticed this a couple weeks ago. I'll be listening to an album straight through. If I pause and then wish to restart, it starts shuffling within the same artist, even though shuffle has not been selected. Then, when I manually select the song where I left off it starts playing in Repeat 1 mode and plays that song over and over. Again, repeat is not selected. Samsung Galaxy S5.

First of all, could you let us know the following:

• The version of Spotify you're using
• The device and OS that you're using at current
• Have you tried a quick reinstall of the app? If not, follow these steps: https://support.spotify.com/learn-more/faq/#!/article/reinstallation-of-spotify

Let us know how this information and if the reinstall helps. I'm sure together well get this looked into.

Spotify Version: 3.4.0.764

Device: Samsung Galaxy S5 (Verizon)

OS: Android 5.0

Haven't tried reinstall yet but will this evening.

That all seems up-to-date! If you could try a reinstall of the app, that would be super handy. Just to note, any tracks that you have synced to offline mode will need to be resynced.

Seems to have done the trick but I'm going to give it a couple more days of testing!

I did a complete uninstall/reinstall and it's doing it again.

Sitting at work listening to album "Momentary Lapse of Reason" by Pink
Floyd. I have it on repeat but NOT shuffle. I hit pause, went to the
restroom, came back and hit play. It finished the song it was on -- which
was also not the last track on the album, btw -- and skipped to the album
"The Endless River" also by Pink Floyd.
