As of update 1/12-17, the app keeps playing music when force closed. FIX ASAP.

On top of the title, the app in general doesn't work properly. 

The entire app takes ages to load. Albums doesn't load. 

The app crashes and takes the phone with it. You have to force reboot the phone. & Spotify takes the SystemUI with it when it crashes.

VERSION: 8.4.30.688 ARMV7. This is on a Samsung S8+.

Note: I'VE NEVER HAD ISSUES WITH THIS APP BEFORE. NOT LIKE THIS.

I have an S8+ and have no problems (so far) with this spotify version. Do you get any android system error messages when spotify crashes? All I can suggest is reinstalling the app following these steps.

I've done it all. If I roll back a version now and it works, that explains everything. This new update is getting a lot of hate.

When downgrading and doing a clean install, it doesn't crash anymore. 

But, I get constant loading in the menus. Every single menu loads. If it ever finishes, it's been sitting for 5min loading. 

No error messages...

Edit: searching is completely broken. Just constant loading.
