My Question or Issue

When using the "Go to Radio Song" and trying to save to my library or download the playlist recently created, starts in green then suddenly stops. Same with the "+" button, when pressed turns green and immediately turns grey again.

I have plenty free space in my storage, it let me past saved and downloaded playlists, but not new ones.

Hey there @HilhyedS,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We really appreciate the video you kindly sent us, it helped us a lot. We couldn't not replicate this behavior on our side. In that sense, we'd suggest you perform a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device. By doing that, the app can be up-to-date, and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can see the steps for a clean reinstall here.

If the above doesn't do the trick, we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

  • The exact Spotify version you're running on your device.
  • Does this happen over WiFi? 3G/4G? Both? Do you notice any difference if you switch the internet connection you're using?
  • Did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update?

Keep us in the loop!

Hi, thanks for the reply.

The Spotify versión on my device is 8.9.84.594

I did a clean reinstall but nothing changes 😞

This happen on the PC version too.

It seems something wrong with my account because I changed to 4G and other wifi and the problem it's present no matter the connection.

I tried the same action in a laptop and a PC with same results. When trying to save a playlist or radio station to my library says "Something went wrong" and returns to grey the + button.

Hey there @HilhyedS

Thanks for getting back to us.

To check if the issue is account-related, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your devices and see if they can replicate this behavior?

It's also worth checking if the OS of your devices has any pending updates.

Additionally, have you noticed if this issue started happening after an update (either of Spotify or the OS of your devices)?

Keep us posted.

Hi again, I tried with another premium account on the same device with no problem, I can download, create, delete playlists...
All devices, phone, laptop and desktop PC are up to date. I tried today on the web player with same result, can't delete playlists already in my library nor create new ones. On wednesday 16th one member of my family was added to family plan, the next morning I had this issue. I don't know if this can be related, that family member was already part of the premium plan months ago and nothing like that happened before with my account.

Thanks for the details @HilhyedS!

We're currently gathering more examples of this behavior so we can forward them to our tech folks. We'll keep you posted as soon as we have any new info to share 👍

In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.

Cheers 🤘

I'm sorry for the late reply, but suddenly stopped the issue. This was before the last update for the android app, but in PC I had the same problem, but it stopped there too.

I didn't do anything to resolve the problem, it stopped by itself. (I noticed that on PC no matter wich list or álbum I play, after one song, changes automatically to the same playlist I created years ago). But only happens on windows version, not phone.

Anyway, thanks for your time and help.
