Hi, well actually, I remembered that maybe it was from Xiaomi and not from
Spotify, I made classics updates of the system and it was gone from a day
to another. So if your phone wanted to update to a new Xiaomi version,
it'll probably resolve the problem.

Hope it helps you out !

Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out in the Community!

There are 2 things you could try in this case:

  1. A clean reinstall (different than a quick reinstall).
  2. Open the phone's Settings > search for "Optimise battery usage" > click on "Apps not optimised" and select "All" > search for Spotify and disable battery optimization.

Keep us posted!

It's already on "not optimized".

Thanks

Hi @Remopong,

Yes, I did.

Thanks

Hey @Remopong,

Thanks for following the instructions.

Does the issue still persist? If so, could you tell us your Spotify version?

Also, could you check your phone Settings for permissions and battery optimization after the clean reinstall, just to make sure everything's set as it should be?

We'll be keeping an eye out for your repply.

Hey @Petya,

Would you please take a look at another Xiaomi device related problem? There is quite a few of us in this thread and no one got back to us since Wednesday. https://community.spotify.com/t5/Android/Spotify-crashes-when-trying-to-open-song-settings-3-little-...

Thanks in advance!

Still not working, any ideas ?

Did anyone get an answer on this in the end?

it's not a but, it's a feature. i love when i have to pause spotify, and then closes instantly, because spotify does not like being resumed. I have to grab phone out of pocket, unlock, browse apps, launch spotify, click play, which takes around 10 seconds instead of one. thanks Spotify!

Also, thank you spotify for losing this draft after signing in, had to rewrite this from scratch. thanks, Spotify!

same issue

Hey there @the1stRowell,

Thanks for the post.

We'll do our best to help so you can enjoy your Spotify app. In order to do so we'd need some more info from your end:

  • Device model and OS on which this is happening.
  • Spotify app version.
  • When did this start happening?
  • What troubleshooting you've done so far?

Cheers.
