shuffle playlist on Android phone

I don't know why, but when I first started using Spotify, my Android phone would shuffle my playlist. Now it doesn't and I can't find any setting within the mobile app to set it to shuffle. What happened and how do I fix it?

When you start playing a track you get a small 'now playing' bar at the bottom of the screen (if it doesn't appear tap the track to start it again a few times until it does or exit the app and come back in until you see it). Tap that bar and you get the full screen 'now playing' view - the shuffle option is on there
