Funny "Shuffle" juxtapositions

So, listening to my mega-alternative playlist (over 5000 songs) on Shuffle.  Song "Shivers" plays.. it's a cover of a song by Nick Cave's 1st band, The Boys Next Door by the Cairo Gang.  The next song?  Mr. Clarinet by the Birthday Party (Nick Cave's 2nd band).  Come on!  over 5000 songs?  It's not that I'm complaining, I just have a hard time accepting that it was random.  And stuff like this happens all the time, especially within genres.  Husker Du plays?  Chances are, something like the Replacements or the Minutemen will play next.  There's gotta be some algorithms in place here!
