Lost track meta data, now also lost track control [Android]

This used to work and has now stopped working. Car happens to be an 2015 Audi with MMI. I can now no longer see the track playing, nor change to next/previous track using the car's controls. Pixel 3a XL.

Have tried deleting and recreating the Bluetooth connection at the phone and MMI. Music plays fine, but can only use the phone's interface.
