Heart button replaced by plus sign

How come i can no longer put a heart on a song and instead a plus sign is there? Is there a way to change this?

This is a new change to the ways that you can add items to Your Library, which Spotify is currently exploring.

While there unfortunately isn’t a way to opt your Spotify account out of this implementation at the moment, I recommend sharing your feedback about it in this thread for the relevant team to review.

This “plus” button is not the move😬 Replaces what the old “heart” did in one tap with 3 taps (“+” > “Likes Songs” > “Done”). It seems inefficient, and dangerous when I get a track that really sings it hard and I gotta like it but I’m driving and there’s oncoming traffic coming right at me bc I turned the wrong way BEFORE I ever even picked up my phone. I am a BAD driver. So I shouldn’t be. But I do it all the time. I gotta get places. And then I turn down a road that says “only buses” but I don’t notice bc the song doesn’t SING and I feel like I wanna hear a sing really bad. So I bozo right past all the 🚫⛔️ err-err signs. I open app and put on a big singer and try to hit heart but it’s plus? What’s a plus doing here? Oh my god I’m in the bus lane

Okay so…I can admit that I jumped the gun on this. I’m still a bad driver but it saves me time adding it to other playlists.

Also, in the Daily Mix (1-6) the heart image is gone from all my liked songs. I found the Daily Mix a great location to discover new music where I would select the songs that didn’t have the liked symbol. Now I can’t do this as I can’t see any difference between my liked songs and new unliked songs in the list. Please revert this to the old way.

I hate this so much. My hearted songs don’t show up as such in a playlist anymore either. I hate this so much

The plus symbol won’t even let me add a song to my liked song’s playlist. I have to go to Liked songs, click add song, search for the song I’m currently listening to, and add it that way.

Yes not a fan. More so not being able to see my LOVED tracks within the album or playlist anymore.

i hate this.. but not everyone have it.. im an iphone user but my friends still have the heart and dont have an update or something

This is such a failed A/B test. Probably some PM with perverse incentives. 

you're literally making everything take more steps. Also give me the ability to add entire albums to a playlist… like why?!

I have this & also hate it! I’m also unable to see songs I’ve liked when looking through playlists which is really frustrating!

I have this feature and I don’t like it at all. Why would you remove a feature that allows you to see what songs are in you library? Do you expect us to search through our library to see if we have hearted a song or not? Also, it is so annoying to have to swipe, then select your liked “playlist” then press done just to like a song. Add this feature for the people that want the ability to add songs to multiple playlists, but at least let us have the ability to turn it off. This has really made me debate if I want to use Spotify or switch to a different service.

**bleep** I’m so grateful it’s not just me - I’ve been googling this for weeks. I miss the hearts so badly. I liked seeing what songs in an album or playlist I loved. I also like seeing on others’ playlists the songs I already have hearted. Please give back the hearts, this update is terrible.

Wow honestly I just wanted to experience the “Un Verano Sin Ti” heart when liking a song off the infamous bad bunny album. I guess I’ll just adjust to the now plus.
