Is hiding songs on Spotify temporary?

I have been using Spotify for a few years now and I spend a meticulous amount of time either ‘liking’ or ‘hiding’ songs after I listen to them. 

I don’t want to hear songs I’ve disliked again and want to build a list of songs I genuinely enjoy. 

However, I’ve just noticed today that many previous songs I’ve previously disliked from albums are no longer disliked. 

My question is, is there some time frame for how long songs will remain disliked and and so how long for?

It looks like they've removed the dislike/remove song feature, hopefully temporary.

I want to stay civilized, but it's really **bleep**ed up if I cannot one-click remove a song from my Discover Weekly or one-click add a song to my "Liked Songs". It's honestly a dealbreaker and without "Discover Weekly" (I won't be using it without the Like/Dislike button) I don't really have any reason to pay for both Youtube Premium and Spotify except for my playlists, and they can easily be transfered.

I also hidden songs in my playlists but they still play....it's like a non existing feature...I don't understand
