Is there a way to control/limit the advertisements for podcasts when I am listening?

I try to stay away from politics and I don't care to listen to whining from one side or the other, so it is quite annoying to be forced to listen to advertisements for some of these podcasts where they whine on and on about one political/social thing or another. It makes me want to uninstall this app, which I don't want to do as I prefer this to regular radio.

So is there a way to limit the types of ads that I get fed?
