Laptop is taking over my phone's spotify

I listen to spotify on my laptop at work. When I leave work, if i dont close the spotify window, whenever i try to use spotify on my phone while connected to headphones, it will change the current device to my laptop over and over. I will switch the "listening on" device to my phone and then a minute or two later it will switch back to the Laptop. Anyway to fix this?

Same problem, super annoying - especially when you start driving and a minute later Spotify decides it is time to switch to MacBook which stays idle at home. Reproduces all the time and makes it near unusable. Only problem for podcasts for me, however I mostly listen to podcasts

It honestly makes Spotify almost unusable. It’s so annoying.

Having similar problem listening on head phones then it will switch randomly to "pc desktop" AND  a random album I would never listen to. Don't even have Spotify loaded on any other devices apart from phone.
