New UI is junk - Why is my library sorted like file explorer + zoom out leaves extreme dead space

Zooming out on a 1440p monitor leaves so much dead space on the right side of the screen, and next to the album art.

The library section is ATROCIOUS. Keeping organized folders is basically useless now, if i want to click on the back button i better not click on the name of the playlist because god forbid I do, i guess im changing my folder's name now??? this is a DESKTOP, we have RIGHT CLICK for that kind of stuff.

Who approved this atrocity?

If you're going to create a layout like this, please PLEASE offer more customization. I do not NEED to see the playlist photo when it's in my library, make that a toggle-able option. There is quite literally ZERO view options that change any functionality.

The old layout was mint; new one is trash.

Layout was so bad, I had to go to the community forums... i've never complained about an update like this

I agree that the Mobile interface is not ideal for desktop experience. My only solution has been to expand the left side bar and turn on Grid View. But it's very weird. Additionally not being able to see the full list of your playlists with your albums side by side is very annoying. The older way allowed for more desktop like management features.

This is also why I am here. I created an account here to complain about this update. Absolutely terrible, the old layout and UI were infinitely better.

I cancelled my family sub to Spotify after this update to the library management, also after consulting with the family. No one thinks this is viable, and we all take pride in our music library and enjoy perusing it. It wasn't too difficult porting things across to Apple Music, and things seem fine there thus far. The Spotify redesign has come up in two work meetings now, and we seldom talk about personal stuff. Cannot believe Spotify would destroy their platform like this.

I'm absolutely devastated by this update and without fixing these enormous problems, Spotify has really left me no other option than to change platforms.

I have been a paying customer for almost a decade and used thousands of hours to curate +300 playlists on my account. Now with the removal of the Your Library page in the main browsing area, you are effectively cancelling the possibility to arrange my playlists in custom order. How in the world I'm supposed to drag and drop, one by one, in a tiny buggy left side of my screen, hundreds of lists into different order?

Indeed this was a pain in the ass previously too, but at least then I could open my library in the main window and drag items to their correct positions in the left side's simple, drop-down menu. It doesn't help that when you make (or follow) a new playlist, it goes to the top of the list of playlist and you HAVE to move it (in my case, often 100+ rows down), otherwise your library will be just a hot mess.

I'm dumbfounded by this update and really wonder have you completely forgot how most of the people still listen to music. I'm not paying heaps of money to use a software with a look of a knock-off TikTok and functionality worse than a late 90's Winamp.
