Out of service, long term

I have been a premium member of spotify for 5 years and up until now, my downloaded stuff would play while I sailed overseas. Just recently it starting acting different. When I leave an area of service, the music remains on my playlist, but becomes unplayable, becoming useless until I have service again. Once I get within range, it takes about 10 minutes to redownload everything. Let me know what the solution is for this.
