Playlist restarts when not connected to Internet

When I start up Spotify (it often goes to sleep when I am not using it), as far as I can tell, whenever I am not connected to the Internet it will always reset my playlist to the first song.  This seemed to happen occasionally before, but now it happens pretty much every day.  I have to manually choose the song I was on to continue, which as you can imagine is annoying, especially in my large playlists.

I guess I'm not 100% sure it's the Internet that's the problem, but I only see it when I get in the car some place when I'm not at home, and I assume that is because the WiFi can reach the garage at home.

Since this started recently, I assume it is a bug introduced in a recent update.  (By "recent" I mean the last few months.)  Please help!
