Hi,
On the mobile app there is a Search & Browse function. When you click this function it pulls up a ton of playlist sorted by genre. Is this function available on the desktop? I would love to be able to access these playlists on my PC.
Thanks

Its not properly available on the desktop yet, but I think you will find the Tunigo application inside the desktop app looks shockingly similar to browse 😉

Another possibility is to use the radio function. It has some genres and decades at the bottom to create a station from.
Browse is available in the desktop app too, there is no icon yet though.
Enter spotify:app:browse in the searchbox 🙂
And a couple of other things they're working on:
spotify:app:messages
spotify:app:collection
Both Browse and Messages should be available in the sidebar of your desktop client as far as I am aware. If not, what client version are you using (Help/Spotify > About)?

The "Browse" option is not available in my client, version: 0.9.4.183.g644e24e0 on linux. The "Message" option is there though.

Ah Browse was added in 0.9.6, so I am guessing we are still waiting on the feature on linux.

Hi,
I'm on version 0.9.6.81 on Windows and the browse option does not appear on the sidebar.
My workaround is to go the tunigo app and click a link.
Can you help?

I'm in Portugal.
Do you see browse on the web player?

Yes, I do.
And it's also available on the android app, just not on the windows app.
Might be worth a clean reinstallation of the desktop client and see if that makes any diffference?

Thanks for the help.
Will someone contact me regarding the issue? Or should I just check this thread?

Hey @Aligeiro exactly which OS are you using? Windows 7?
Sup, guys. I came across this thread just now because the browse feature isn't showing up in the sidebar for me either. I'm from Czech Republic, if that makes any difference.
