Spotify is just frustrating now...

I really wanted to use Spotify for a long time. It seemed like they got all the basics right. I would recommend it to my friends and family since it was a complete all-in-one package for music. But the last 2 months of terrible "upgrades" by their awful UX team has made me take back everything good I've said about them for the last 8 years I've been using them. 

 

Each week your team find some way to screw up the most basic buttons on the app. I'd like whoever proposed the idea of Smart Shuffle to be fired. Whether that be with the checkmark, smart shuffle, or that God awful tiktok ui. And I don't even want to start on the new desktop app. Clearly you don't test your own product when there's so many issues with it, design-wise and function-wise . Spotify doesn't know what they want to be anymore.

 

Your app description says music and podcasts. Not videos and social media. Quit trying to be something you're not. The majority of the spotify userbase is too dumb to see what's happening to this company but as someone who has loved Spotify for years, even making web apps to make my experience better, I don't feel valued as a customer anymore. Listen to your customers, please. Daniel Ek doesn't know what tf he's doing.
