iOS update is hot garbage and Spotify doesn't seem to care

So the iOs update is

1. Showing me less then the old version

2. More of what the update is showing me is both podcasts and music I don't listen too

3. AND somehow, when the update is showing music that I am interested in, it's music that I was listening to a few years ago and not things I'm currently listening to.

So the end result is, what I can see on the iOS update is mostly useless to me. I quite literally can't find the music I'm interested in from the main pages of the iOS Spotify app. WHY???????

Chat agents give me the same two or three canned responses and then act like I'm the problem. You neutered the app.

Does anyone at Spotify care about this feedback. Because ATM, it seems like the response is

"Testing out features is part of our aim to make Spotify better overall, but we’re sorry this means you can’t use the app like you could before."

And I'm mad, every time I open the app but all I hear is

iphone Spotify version 8.7.82.107

ipad Spotify version 8.7.84.36

Both have huge tiles, that show 'you might like' suggestions.  Why would I want these.  I used to easily find my 6 personalised daily mixes, but those have been hidden in the search page, under the Made for You tile, but even then these are way down the list.  

I can't easily find the last album I was listening to.  History shows tracks only, so I have to click the ellipsis (three dots) and whose view album.

I used to show history based on whether I'd clicked an album, or a Track, which is exactly what you want.

It's horrible and I'd suggest people don't update to the latest version until it's been corrected and fixed.

Also how can 8 turn off podcasts, I don't want those at all.

if I click MUSIC to remove podcasts, the music lists isn't even the same as those mixed in between podcasts when you have both selected - it's totally horrible.  

The Spotify interface is why people use Spotify.

I have music in Amazon prime music as part of my subscription, but never use it as the interface was not so nice, but I'm starting to use that now as it's easier to find what I want now.

As a new user of S, I was wondering where I could change the content of the home screen. Like you, I am not interested in the suggested material. 

How hard can it be to enable the visibility of the suggested playlist, new albums, Populair albums, whatever! 

I hoped that I could change from Deezer to Spotify, because our new car supports the Spotify app. But if I only can use this app with all the rubbish on my display, I better go by train, to avoid accidents, caused by distraction 😉

They certainly do not listen to a new customer, I hope they listen to you...

Yeah update absolutely sucks. Hoping they get enough negative feedback to change it back because I don’t even want to use the app anymore

Spotify has the right to do whatever they want with their service just like you have the right not to use it. Paying a monthly subscription doesn’t mean you’re in charge of the platform.
