Idea: Dance tracks playing back-to-back in your playlist get properly DJ mixed. - We've got a music service where an AutoDJ properly mixes tracks chosen by the user to create a mix for a fitness class. We've got customers who have used us for 10 years, it really works well. - It doesn't work like other Auto-mixing systems. It uses a combination of human input and automation. The human input is stored and later used by the system to help create the natural sounding mixes. - This is it's weak point - it takes a few minutes of human time to register it in the system. Currently it's the only way to get a natural sounding, 100% reliable mix. So it can't work with millions of tracks. - But for perspective, we already have over 20,000 tracks analysed, which is more than all mixable tracks in every top 100 for the last 40 years! - We could create an easy interface where labels can upload their track info themselves - that way the database would quickly grow. - It's currently limited (licensing) to fitness professionals, but it could easily plug into Spotify.    I'm sure it's not new, in fact didn't Spotify try out a system a few years ago? When you notice a cute person who is sitting in the bus too, and really enjoying the music, while shaking head with the beat. So curious.. WHAT SHE/HE IS LISTENING TO?! How to know that? You take your phone from your pocket and open spotify app. There you see everyperson in 50m radius who is using Spotify and shares their music. And you see that she is listening for A-HA - TAKE ON MEE!. You connect to her music and listen to this song also. And when the bus stops, you leave it and say to her/him: ARE YOU PLANNING TO GO TO A-HA CONCERT THIS SUMMER? I LOVE THIS SONG TOO. And you live happily ever after <3 THE END (Or maybe just a beginning :) ___ So, the thing is : a possibility to look for surrounding spotify users and see what they are listening. Having to follow all the artists that I ever added a song of in order for them to appear in my library under artists so I can browse them alphabetically is mindboggelingly stupid. I have many hunderds of artists of which many I don't remember the name. This will take me hours and I'll lose many cool songs which I discovered through playlists because of this.   You know what is wrong with the update (and it's more than I've written here but I can't be bothereed to list more things), just have look online, on this forum, on your twitter. Realise you made a bad, bad move and fix it. Quickly. Whenever I download an album, it automatically saves the entire album. But with the update, I have to also manually save every song on the album because by downloading the entire album, it now only goes to the Albums area but not the Liked Songs anymore. This is a problem because sometimes whenever I want to only save a few songs from an album, it only goes to the Liked Songs playlist, not to the Album area like what happens prior to the update. The ‘Recently Played’ is also removed from ‘Your Library’ , adding inconvenience to my listening experience. For example, I save 2 songs from the same album. Before the update, I could access these 2 songs from both the ‘Your Saved Songs’ and ‘Albums’ section. After the update, I could only access the 2 songs from the ‘Liked Songs’ playlist but not the ‘Albums’ section.  Please @__spo__ fix this!!!! ... View more

Huge fan of the ability to "shuffle" throughout my entire library of music. Just got a new phone, dl'ed spotify, and it was there! I was so happy that it had been returned.. Not even an hour later it had vanished from my app. Please bring back the option to scroll through, randomized listening, delete songs, and allow access all songs in our music library! Being able to only shuffle "liked" songs is very limiting. If you are a metal-head, embarassed about your mild shakira addiction, get over it! The rest of us already have. Today I got a bad thing happening. I reached the limit of downloaded songs at spotify. This Limit is set up to 10.000 songs. I tought I got an Issue with my PC or something like that. But then I chatted with a great guy named Jay-Ar L.  I can really say that I just love the customer support by spotify. They are always nice and they explain everything in little, little details if you need it. But now to the Idea. I really love music and it would be very, very very loveable if the Limit of downloaded songs, wich is set to 10.000 now, be higher than that. Its quite unfortunate that I reached the Limit. I love music over all other things and I am pretty sure somewhere out there, there are people who are thinking the same. So please ladies and gentleman, get this submission to the top and make people like me happy that we can download all of our songs and more than 10.000. I really appreciate every help I will get! I listen to chill music to sleep at night, and I don't really want my Discover Weekly based on this chill music. Just because I listen to it often means that is what I want more of, rather I am looking to find a way to either exclude that playlist from the DW algorithm OR choose on which playlists the algorithm should be based.    At this point, my love for this Spotify feature is diminishing quickly without this setting. I never expected to have to post this but the new Spotify update has outraged me so much I'm forced to bring my issues up here, in the hope that Spotify will do something about it.    The new update has done nothing but send the app (both desktop and mobile) backwards and has just become less accessible as it no longer works in the way you expect a music player to do so.   Firstly, no longer being able to view your saved library songs by artists is something that baffles me. I've always got to the music I want to listen to this way and it was a great way to shuffle all saved songs of one particular artist. Now you choose which artists to follow and that only takes you through to the artist page.    Also now when you save an album to your library you can only access them through the albums section. All the songs within the album aren't added to the song section. Like, seriously. You save the album, but not the very songs that make up the album. Therefore if you want to access the album in both places you have to save it as an album, then save each song individually as well.   Don't fret though as the albums you saved before the update are still in both sections. But, wait... If you want to remove one of those albums from you library, the songs will remain and you are left to remove each one individually. Lovely.   This is all before I've got to the specific issues with the mobile app (for me Android). Another side-effect of the change to artists in your library you can no longer download all the saved music you have under a specific artists. So you have to download each album/song. It's also really hard to navigate to specific albums/songs you have downloaded - so there's that as well.    Want to filter your library down so you can get to exaclty what you listen to? Well you can't do that any more.    As much as I've ranted in this I really just want the old Spotify back. I used to use it everyday without fail: in work, at home, on the move. All the artists, albums and songs I love so much all easy to access on the app. I've been more reluctant to use it recently as it's just not accessible any more. It seems it's been angled more for those who create and listen to playlists - which is not everyone.    For the first time ever I started to look at what other options I have available in terms of accssing and playing music. In the hookahbars, bars, clubs and ect. you often sit and think you'd rather listen to another music. My idea is that the bars create a playlist for their customers, and these people who are there can choose what should be heard next and thus determine the playlist themselves. Here every customer who uses spotify can decide what will run next and is therefore forced to get spotify. Spotify so far does not send confirmation email to change email address, and hackers can easily change the email address without clicking the confirmation link from original email inbox.   The original owner cannot reset the password because the email address is already changed to a fake one.   Please send a confirmation link to the original email address, in order to change the email address to a new one. ...
