I've been using Spotify for many years and to open my phone up and see that the widget that I've been using is just all the sudden missing is extremely disappointing. I use this all day long and don't have the option of just opening up the notifications setting as I keep my phone locked for security purposes. This new update has also disabled the music from just starting to play when I get into my car. Spending an extra 15 minutes when getting in the car to go to work thinking my brand new phone isn't working is not my idea of a good update. Please make it possible to easy add songs to several playlists at once.   Nowadays it is very complicated and it takes a lot of time to add a song to more than one playlist, because you have to do the whole adding-process (search song, open context-menu, tap on "Add song to playlist", search playlist and finally tap on the corresponding playlist to add the song to it) for every single playlist again and again. ... Here's an innovative idea; a lot of apps on Android phones like tocnale use of this thing called a widget. Spotify's decision to remove the widget is surprisingly lacking in customer care considerations,  and particularly premium and family premium subscriber needs.  I expect to be asked, notified and to ensure  my customer needs are considered before someone changes my fundamental experience.  No explanation was provided. I thought I had done something wrong but to find on a Google search what spotify had done without any notice to their subscribers.  This is not good customer care and destroys any trust established with your subscribers,  and particularly your premium subscribers.  Having regularly paid for years,  the is a contract expectation for the services I signed up for are maintained and improved,  not removed! #widget   Bring back the widget for subscribers who choose to use it please? ... The removal of the Android Widget is a substantial step back for the Spotify experience on Android devices. The lock screen and drop-down time out while paused, and the lock screen interface has a history of not appearing despite Spotify being active. Additionally, when using the cross-device control, neither of the "replacement" interfaces reliably function as desired. Take the hit on this one, acknowledge that not all angles were considered, and re-introduce the Android Widget. Sure, you can come out the other side just fine without it, but it significantly mars your consumer-focused reputation. Hi, This is probably posted already but I don't feel like searching it, the same as Spotify doesn't feel like listening to people and actually putting the effort in making them unhappy.   Bring the widget back, there is nothing that is filling the functionality that it provided and we got no reason for why it's being removed. As a matter of fact removing actually took effort so we could say that Spotify is investing time in going against their client's feedback.   I hope this is not as bothersome as the unwanted reggaeton recommendations that I get every day.   Thanks and have a good day. So when are you going to roll back to the previous version of the mobile app? Honestly, this has to be one of the single most unpopular updates I've ever seen birthed into this world. Did nobody who designed this stop for even a second and think that, amongst other things, removing the recently played section from library was, in fact, NOT a good idea? Nobody reckoned that would be a bad move?   Honestly, I've been using premium for 4, probably nearly 5 years now. But if there's no reverting to the previous version, or at the very bare minimum, a reinstatement of the recently played, I'm gone. Done. C'est fini! And no, the 4 or 5 albums on the home page "recently played" section do not count in the slightest. Especially considering one of them is the naff video explaining this terrible update. ... Please add the dislike button to the Premium Membership users account either in the search list or at the bottom where the heart option is. It is a feature already implemented in the Free account search option. The lack of it means Premium Members have less control of what is offered and the direct result is a less enjoyable experience than those who are not paying, and means we have less valued individual tastes. ...
