I've read the "Content Missing" article but it doesn't completely answer my question, so:
A specific artist I was following went missing, which I understand, based on that article. When I say missing, I mean unplayable, it's still listed on spotify.
However, Spotify has an "alternate" version of this artist, represented under a different label, with most, but not all its albums. Other music services have this album. Could it be that Spotify hasn't gotten to it yet, or failed to add this particular album?
To be more specific:

Hey @H1000
The availability of music on Spotify is up to the artists and their music label.
If the music is unavailable, the artist or their new music label has likely decided to not make it available in Spotify, or doesn't have the rights to do so.
Contacting the artist (or the new label) is a good way to let them know you miss their music in Spotify.
Hope it helps. 🙂
