No longer able to paste track ID into playlist

My Question or Issue

I track my liked songs in excel. I use the spotify trackID for vlookup purposes, etc. This way I am able to make playlists in excel, use filters, sorting, etc. I have always been able to copy and paste the spotify Track IDs (eg. 4QdkQxsURQT9Pjy1vFKXfo?si=5144fe92a4db4992, the sequence of characters at the end of the song link) into playlists (in the desktop app, never the browser) and the songs would be added to that playlist. The last time I did this successfully was a few days ago. Today I tried on both my PC and OS and it did not work for either. I have restated spotify, restarted my machines, and I cannot get this functionality back. Please tell me that this functionality has not been lost, and that I am doing something wrong! Help!
