Hi,
I used to have between 100-200 tracks every friday on release radar, this week I only got 30.
It seems it's the 'default' number when you don't follow lots of artists (which is not my case, I follow almost 2000 artists)
How can I get back to getting all the new releases ?
Thank you !

Hi there folks,
Thanks for all the replies. We've done some investigating on our end and can confirm that Release Radar is supposed to be 30 tracks and that is its usual intended length. If you have or had more songs, we can conclude that this has probably been some sort of intermittent temporary behavior or the list has been influenced by some external factors. We understand that you may prefer a longer Release Radar, so we'll definitely take note of the feedback you've given us in this thread and send it over to the right people.
Hope this clears things up.

My Question or Issue
Release radar has reduced from 200 songs to just 30 songs in the App, but 200 show in Web Player as normal - this has only started happening today
Another drawback of using the web player instead of the desktop app is the missing search option and minus sign to remove unwanted tracks from Release Radar. So a fix of the desktop app is indeed necessary, although you can work around this by opening both the web player and desktop app at the same time. Then you can click on the minus sign in the desktop app playbar at the bottom even if the unwanted track is not part of the 30 shown tracks.
The weird thing is the stories icon on the top shows stories of the missing tracks that weren’t included in the release radar playlist 🤔

My Question or Issue
I follow 7 weekly ReleaseRadars of other users. Some had 30 weekly suggestions, others 200. (I just like to know what my friends are up to.) Today these 7 RR's show up with an identical content - mine. Even though they mention they correct 7 user names. And all RR's seem to bereduced to 30 songs. What going on? Can this be repaired?
I'm having the same issue, I've followed release radar religiously for many years and I've never experienced a 30 song cap until today. :((
From X account "Spotify Cares" claiming 30 was always the number:
"Hmm, okay. In that case, can you send us a screenshot or screen recording of the 200 songs in the Release Radar on the web player? Then, the 30 songs on the app. We need to get a look at this because the NORMAL NUMBER OF SONGS FOR THE RELEASE RADAR IS SUPPOSEDLY 30 SONGS that refreshes every Friday. Send these when you can - we'll be sure to have a look."
I sent them evidence that this clearly wrong. I've saved all my Release Radar playlists back through June 24th 2022.
seriously what are they talking about, litteraly everyone I know always had more than 30
Thank you for replying to them

My Question or Issue
After five years of receiving 200 day of release tracks per week in my release radar , over the last month I have noticed a huge and most unwelcome change. Over the last three release Fridays only about a third of the 200 tracks were released on the same day as the Radar update meaning two thirds were not new songs at all. Now the number has been released to 30. Having curated new music playlists under the indie30 moniker on Spotify and drawn thousands of listeners through my blog and social media, losing one of the important sources tracking new music from my 11,500 liked artists is a bitter blow. Only Spotify alone knows the reason for the change because I am at a loss to work out why such a dramatic cut in the service provided to me has been or could have been done.
If anybody at Spotify could provide me with a sane, truthful and customer centred response I'd very much appreciate it. I did experience some log in issues along with many others a couple of nights back and I did notice that it had been reduced to 30 tracks just before the being unable to even access the app. And the drop in the number of tracks has happened to me briefly before but was quickly rectified. Lets hope this is just a bug and my 200 tracks per week feature is restored,
Release radar became so lame all of a sudden. Hope it gets back to its former glory!! One of the playlists I relied on the most to keep me updated on new releases.
Same thing is happening to me. I’d have 12 hours of music every Friday but now I see an hour and 40 minutes. Fix this issue Spotify
My release radar containing 12 hours of new music every Friday is the only reason why I’ve continued to use Spotify since 2012. Then all of a sudden it’s an hour and 40 minutes. Please fix this.
I have 30 songs again but I checked out the web app and It has 200 songs on there.
Same for my buddy and I, chat support was useless
This is hugely disappointing. I made the point to follow hundreds and hundreds of artists to ensure I don't miss any new releases in my Release Radar and they have greatly minimized that. I'm used to 8 hours and now the playlist is under 2 hours and I have already identified artists I personally follow who released new singles today who did not appear in my playlist. This was how I kept tab on small artists without lots of press.
Same issue here. This software just keeps getting worse!
Same problem here. The Release Radar is the most important feature on the whole platform for me. I see 200 songs on the Web Player, but not with the Windows Client. This needs to be fixed ASAP!
I too have been experiencing the same problem for the past week. Tonight I've already spent 2+ hours with Spotify's advisors trying to help me and explain what is happening. If this was normal the technical team would know, right? Also, how frustrating is it to see 30 songs in one app while still seeing 200 in another of the same company?!
Knowing Spotify I suspect the 'fix' will be to also set the web limit to 30 tracks. I hope I'm wrong.
It has been the trend whenever they've removed features in the past. Release radar was the main reason I hadn't jumped ship yet.
Yes, in both the Spotify Desktop and mobile apps, the Release Radar playlist has been reduced to 30 songs. At the same time, Spotify API functions like 'get artist's top tracks' aren't working, and I don't think that's a coincidence. Spotify seems to be changing its internal workings, letting users down.
Here's a temporary solution for the Release Radar playlist:
The complete content of the playlist will then appear in the web, mobile, and desktop apps.
